Transferring .co.uk Domains

Transferring .CO.UK and .UK domains are a bit different than traditional TLDs.

Rather than unlocking your domain, paying for a domain, and submitting the transfer (like you would with most TLDs such as .com, .net, and .org), you have to have your current domain registrar update the IPS Tag.

Step 1: Submit The Transfer To Us - The first step in the process is to create the domain transfer with Standout Web Services.  For a .co.uk domain, inbound transfers are free, but you must first have us add the domain to your account and submit the pending transfer to the registry.

Step 2: Change Your IPS Tag - Once our team confirms the transfer has been submitted to the registry, you can then update your domain at your current registrar to the following IPS tag:

IDS-BS

Once this change is completed, please update our team confirming.

They will then update you once the domain transfer has completed.

It's important to note that transferring your .co.uk and .uk domain to Standout Web Services is free but doesn't renew/extend your domain like a typical transfer.  You will still need to renew on the scheduled date
